Introduction This section the most important module. Without this sector, no informed management can take place. InHCc Uses Microsoft’s Business Intelligence
Products (BI)
Microsoft’s Analysis Services allows reports to be run by department, problems, etc and then drill down into the individuals patients detail record. Any individual patient can be compared across time and location. InHCc codes automatically every item in the system. Once the user selects a descriptive item, the code is automatically placed in the record. Every event that occurs is related to an object/time. Data Mining is used to “group” similar objects that occur during the same event. In order to do this, every time an object changes (example a patient receives takes more education, gets a better job, moves to a larger house), that object receives a new “Profile.” The term in data analysis is called a “Slowly changing dimension.” Strategic Planning InHCc believes that any organization should keep ahead of the completions. InHCc uses their “External Module” to collect data on external events and processes. External data sources can automatically update the InHCc database with their data. All Strategy evaluations formulas are built into the system. There is no need to “combine” a dozen reports and transfer the data in an Excel datasheet to have to analysis a project. InHCc has a module for the External Environment that is set up to collection information on:
Using BI, Strategic planners can obtain, create, “Slice and Dice” the data any way that is required. They can run regression analyses and use Data mining to look for interesting locations for new facilities. Examples of Use Identifies likelihood of Individual becoming a "high risk" patient - in real time Disease Surveillance Public Health informatics is an area of increasing concern for authorities around the world. The need for comprehensive disease surveillance has never been greater, and there is the continuing requirement to track possible epidemics and pandemics. Health monitoring linked to disease rates and possible causative effects continues to be high on the public health agenda. InHCc HMIS has an extensive collection of "Normal" references both for actual laboratory results and also for "Symptoms" and "Findings". In every case, ALL results are correlated to determine the "probability" and associated "problems" of the individual and the Population. Client profiling is performed against all clinical results.
