Introduction The InHCc HMIS database is designed for Analysis and Research. Using both Data Analysis and Data Mining techniques. InHCc offers an environment that makes it possible to monitor quality and performance in real time as well as provide for clinical and social data research. It must be said at this point, that unless data sets and the database is specially designed for Analysis and Data Mining, it is extremely difficult to perform in real-time.
Quality and Performance Measures (Indicators) Module InHCc has created a module that includes all core measures that are used for quality and performance Indicators. These measurements are automatically create and available in real-time whenever a variable that affects the measure is changed. Alerts are created whenever an event or variable will adversely affect a quality or performance Indicator (management by exception). Rules can be established that monitors these measurements (against standard variances) and automatically create lists of "problems" that are presented to Management in their "Dashboard". Surveillance InHCc has a system to monitor for “Infectious” diseases or unusual events. Every “problem” or event is measured against the “normal.” As an example, the average Hospital admission rate for respiratory illnesses is 27.7% in Mexico. The comparing the actual rate against the normal, immersing problems can be identified immediately…It may just be that the physician doesn’t know how to make a diagnosis, but in any case, the “problem” is identified and an investigation can be started. InHCc was designed to be able to supply extensive data for research. InHCc incorporates almost all known research variables and they are all coded. Researchers can easily select and analysis any of a number of different processes. InHCc uses the DATA MINING tools of Microsoft. While Data Mining is included in the Microsoft BI platform, it can only be used by someone trained. http://www.sqlserverdatamining.com/ssdm/ InHCc has also included extensive policies on the use of Research in the Clinical settings. |
