Introduction 

The Data Structure of the Database that serves the On-Line-Analytical-Process (OLAP) is very important. The data structure is concerned with Dimensions, the variables of analysis. In general, dimensions are more important in OLAP than in the Relational Database.  

In the Relational Database the structure is Normalized and is not Aggregated. Since data is 

The Data Structure is can be of either two types:

  • Star Design
  • Relational Design

Dimensions 

The following dimensions will be used for analysis is the InHCc Information system

Geographical location

  • National >Country ->Province -> District-> Region->Town->Community>GIS

  • Population Size (of location)

 

Time

  • Time:Year->Quarter->Month->Day->Hour  

  • Type of Day: Holidays, weekdays, weekends

  • Type of weather: rainy, sunny, warm, cold, etc

 

Service level

  • State hospital->province hospital->municipal hospital->clinic>physician

 

Disease Classification

ICD-10 Classifications at 4 levels.

  • Classification->Sub-Classification->Category 3-> Category 4
