site.
 We can imagine a well known
Big Non-Governmental-Organization (BNGO) that
was started several decades ago during the cold war. Up to the mid 80’s this BNGO had very dedicated people performing leading edge research that set the
standard for organizations around the world.
However now, this organization has no management reporting systems except
a "budget report" that is flawed in design. The expenses can only be
determined by each project and can not be rolled up to view the data across the
department or the organization. Cash flow forecasts are impossible to obtain and
when a donor requested that a "Business Plan" be prepared, the
Financial Direction didn't know what a business plan was. ...
